On June 4, 2015, at the main C.H. Newton office in scenic West Falmouth, Massachusetts, we co-hosted our 3rd annual networking event with New England Home Magazine, in celebration of the magazine’s 9th annual Cape and Islands edition. With 350-500 in attendance, the crowd was bustling with the region’s best architects, landscape designers, interior designers, and industry leaders.
In the spirit of focusing on New England’s local community, a silent auction was arranged to raise funds for the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod, an organization with long-standing connection to C.H. Newton and its employees. Many local craftsmen, artists, businesses, and companies generously donated unique items for this portion of the event, including Beacon Millwork and Make Architectural Metalworking’s custom set of artisan end tables, a 55” flat screen television from Creative Systems, and themed gift baskets with fine wines selected from the Newton Family collection. Woods Hole Golf Club, the event’s caterers, Family Crest Catering, and 6-10 other businesses also made donations, adding a diverse range of auction prizes.
At the conclusion of the event, CHN and our generous guests raised $8,000 for the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod, exceeding the amount of donations acquired in previous years. This was a tremendously exciting event to co-host, and we are looking forward to future events as successful as this one!
