High Brewster Historic Farm

Built circa 1738, the Nathaniel Winslow Homestead, now referred to as “High Brewster,” is one of the oldest settlements in its area. The homestead contains a two story Georgian style main house and four cottages situated on sloping garden acres. A five phase historical renovation spanning over 10 years and approximately 5,000 sq. ft. total revived and preserved historical elements within each structure. Among property features steeped in history, secret passageways were discovered behind the main house’s fireplace during the demolition phase, allegedly serving as shelters for runaway slaves during the Pre-Civil War period.
